Dallas, TX – In 1995, Regional Hispanic Contractors Association (RHCA) formed to address the needs of one of the fastest-growing sectors in the construction industry. For the last 25 years, RHCA has been giving a voice to the business and political concerns of its members, while serving the community through its outreach program.
“The mission of the Regional Hispanic Contractors Association is to promote and support the advancement and economic growth of the Hispanic Contractors in Texas. We are committed to developing programs and facilitating the resources needed to help Hispanic Contractors reach their potential.”
RHCA hosts annual events to honor companies for their numerous contributions to this field. The annual RHCA Pillar awards include Project of the Year, General Contractor of the Year, and others. Such honors are given to companies who have displayed immense leadership and have successfully executed major projects.
On March 1, 2019, over 800 people watched as Phillips May was honored to receive the RHCA President’s Award at the RHCA Pillar Awards.
The President’s Award recognizes individuals, associations or corporations that have impacted the construction industry in 2019 through leadership, RHCA partnership, and impact in the construction industry in the North Texas Area in 2018.
Our company received this award as a recognition of our promotion of diversity, and our push towards joint ventures and mentorship programs with subcontracting companies. We’ve partnered with companies such as Ponce Contractors, Basecom Construction Services, Butler Masonry, Carrco Painting, NTD Mechanical, and many more.
Whether working in the public or private sector, we ensure that all companies we mentor have proper safety and quality control programs and plans in place. We strive to learn and implement safer, higher, and more ethical practices within our company and in our partners and mentees.
